These earrings have been carefully hand folded using paper pre-loved (and pre-used) copy of Culpeper's English herbal, the first fully researched book of its type in England which was published in 1653 and one which has remained in print ever since. While the paper used with this book isn't that old, these earrings still make an original gift for anyone who loves the countryside and foraging, gardening and cooking. As each rose is made using a separate section of paper and each is individually folded every rose and every pair will be unique. 
The paper has been given several coats of varnish which strengthens it as well as enhancing the beautiful light golden colour of the vintage paper.

The paper used in the earrings has been given several coats of good-quality waterproof varnish to add shine, strength, durability and water resistance.
The earrings come on sterling (925) silver studs.
They will come in an origami paper envelope tied around with jute or raffia packed safely inside a Post Office approved box.
