These earrings have been carefully hand folded using paper pre-loved (and pre-used) copy of Culpeper's English herbal, the first fully researched book of its type in England which was published in 1653 and one which has remained in print ever since. While the paper used with this book isn't that old, these earrings still make an original gift for anyone who loves the countryside and foraging, gardening and cooking as well as for any green, hedge or kitchen witch. As each fan is made using a separate section of paper and each is individually folded every  pair will be unique. 
The paper has been given several coats of varnish which strengthens it as well as enhancing the beautiful light golden colour of the vintage paper.

The earrings have a drop of approximately 3 cm (about 1 1/4 inches).
They come on 925 silver hooks or gold or rose gold plated 925 hooks.
They come carefully wrapped in a hand folded origami envelope tied around with raffia and then packed safely in a postal approved, cardboard box.
